When joy from good and sorrow from sin

When you love your good and dislike your sins, you are a believer.
In fact, this subject has been taken from an instruction of the Holy Prophet (sws). This has been narrated by Imam Ahmad ibn Hanbal (may Allah have mercy on him) in his Musnad. And his words are as follows: When you like your good deeds and your sins are bad, then you are a believer. This means that if the heart and conscience have the ability to distinguish between good and evil, the sign of which is that after doing good, there is a feeling of joy and happiness and when sin is committed, then nature is heavy and sad, then know that faith The light is bright.
And in the presence of this light, it will not be possible for evil to take the place of good and good to take the place of evil. This feeling is in fact the criterion and standard for testing good and sin which is present in the heart of every believer. There is a precious reward from honor.
Imam Tabarani (may Allah have mercy on him) has narrated al-Mujam al-Kabeer and Imam Ahmad ibn Hanbal (may Allah have mercy on him) has narrated a slightly detailed hadith in his Musnad in the form of an incident which further clarifies this.

The Companions of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: I came to the service of the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) and the intention was that today I would ask you one by one about good and sin. There are many people in the service of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him): I began to climb people’s necks
Then the Prophet SAW Shall I tell you what you have come to ask me or you will ask me? I said: O Messenger of Allaah! He said: Today you have come to me to ask me about good and sin. I said: Yes. That is exactly what happened. Then you put three fingers of your blessed hand together and put them on my chest. Stuttering, he said: Wabsa! Take the fatwa from your heart.
Virtue is that which gives satisfaction to the heart and peace to the soul, and sin is that which creates peace in the heart and causes anxiety and distress in the chest, even if people do not give you a fatwa. ”
Dear listeners, consider how the Prophet SAW solved a long problem in a few sentences. Probably the Companions wanted to know the list of virtues and sins.Instead of a long list, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) gave them a standard and a criterion by which to test your deeds. And get a fatwa from your own mufti. The last sentence of the hadith “Even if people don’t give you a fatwa” is solving another big problem and that is that people will try to deceive you and confuse good and sin at will.
Never indulge in their pleasures. Listen to the words of heart and conscience because people can say wrong but conscience can never say wrong.
It should also be borne in mind here that the Qur’an Al-Hakim has called goodness as “known” and sin as “denier”. Well-known is called good and known thing. Therefore, naturally the believer would have been acquainted with it. Yes, he feels adopted in it and is happy to get it.
Denial is called the upper and unfamiliar thing. There is no identity of it in the realm of faith. Therefore, the believers are for the sake of Kabida. If it is done, they become miserable. So we have to go about our daily routine. They can be tested on the same criteria and know whether they are right or wrong.
Dear listeners! Despite such a simple and certain standard, when we look around, we see that there is an abundance of sin and evil, and the rate of good is very low.
The reason is very clear that there is weakness and weakness in our faith due to which our hearts have become rusty. Maybe to some extent we can feel the joy of good but feel the pain of sin and evil. Sin or evil is actually the name of fulfillment of the desires of the soul. Therefore, it gives temporary self-satisfaction. But remember that self-satisfaction and peace of mind are two different and contradictory things.
It is selfishness that is increasing the rate of sin and evil. Therefore, great vigilance is required. Verse No. 201 of Surah Al-A’raf says: Those who guard (against evil) when they are aroused by Satan, are startled and (open their eyes).
Ladies and Gentlemen, It is not hidden from us that just as goodness and sin are related to the rights of Allah, so are they related to the rights of worshipers.
In hindsight, we may have a wealth of peace of mind and contentment in our daily routines, but we leave them as trivial. In the same way, there are many things that can really cause pain and suffering. Yes, but we commit them without thinking and subconsciously go home deprived of happiness and sorrow.
