Stealing is a crime in every religion and society.
Punishment For Theft | Adabi ILAM
Curse On The Theif | Adab Kutab
Islamic law has also stated the prohibition of stealing and its stern promise and has also set a “limit” on it in the world.
However, for the implementation of the “limit”, wealth Determining a certain amount of stolen goods will be punishable by amputation and amputation of the hand, but this does not mean that theft of a small amount or a small amount is allowed, but why not steal even an egg Yes, it is haraam and a cause of curse.
The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said:
Bukhari, Muslim, Musnad Ahmad, Nisa’i and Ibn Majah have narrated from Hazrat Abu Hurayrah that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said:
May Allah’s curse be on the thief who steals an egg and his hand is cut off, and if he steals a rope, his hand is cut off because of it.
Explanation and benefit:
For stealing an egg or a rope, Allah deprives the thief of His mercy, because the thief initially steals the most trivial things (which are not caught and even if caught, the “limit” is not issued). He becomes accustomed to stealing big things for which his hand is cut off.
Or it simply means an egg or a rope, the price of which is negligible, so the ahaadeeth in which the syllabus of theft is mentioned cannot contradict it.
Some people here have taken egg to mean egg and rope to mean the rope of a ship, which is very thick and expensive. So this interpretation is rejected. Because the context and the Arabic word negates it. Because in the case of this interpretation, it is necessary to move the words towards meanings to which the mind does not usually move.
Because when the word egg is uttered, it means the chicken’s egg.
And rope usually means a simple rope, not a ship’s rope.
Therefore, the meaning of the words in the hadith is that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) used to curse and describe its severity, because the custom is that the one who steals less is rebuked and not the one who steals more. But then the limit is issued) and then the punishment for cutting off such a small thing will be imposed.
Because this petty theft can lead to a major theft that carries the penalty of amputation.
Allama Taybi (may Allah have mercy on him) says:
The curse here means insult and humiliation and disgrace, that is, if a child steals even an egg, he should be reprimanded, beaten and punished, even if he tries to steal, so that he does not become a habitual thief, because If he gets used to it, he will steal big things that will cut off his hand. ”
How to protect children from this curse.?
To keep your children from fearing God, instill in them the fear of God. Please educate your children with a teacher who will tell your children about the punishments for theft and make them fear that the hands of the thieves will be cut off and they will be given different kinds of painful punishments.
Educate Your Childern:
Educate your children well and have good morals so that when they grow up they can make a name for themselves.
Remember, only a good education can keep your children from doing bad things. And they can make the future better. Without a good education, they will adopt a bad path and bad thinking۔
A bad person embarrasses his parents and humiliates himself. But a well-rounded person not only makes a name for himself in society but also makes his parents proud.
